Moussa Dembele a FREE AGENT as ex-Celtic striker's Lyon exit confirmed with 'no doubts' claim

Moussa Dembele will leave Lyon as a free agent this summer as the former Celtic star's future is at a crossroads, according to a report.

The big Frenchman was a towering presence in Glasgow and considered to be one of the best striker's in the Hoops recent history. Dembele managed over 50 goals in 94 appearances for Celtic and left Glasgow with more trophies than he could count after success under Brendan Rodgers. It was a big-money move to his homeland for around £20million that saw him leave Parkhead in 2019.

Dembele's career was expected to skyrocket from then on, but the now 26-year-old hasn't managed to hit the heights at Parc Olympique Lyonnais and a failed loan spell with Atletico Madrid didn't excite. Premier League clubs such as Everton and Aston Villa were reportedly keen on his services, with Celtic unlikely to make much back on their sell-on clause.

Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano says there are 'no doubts' the forward will leave Lyon in the summer on a free but that clubs are on alert for his signature.

He told Twitter: "Moussa Dembélé will leave Olympique Lyon as free agent in the summer. No doubts, decision made and to be confirmed at the end of the season.

"Many clubs are keen on signing him on free deal; Serie A and Premier League clubs included. Race is still very open."
