A biker has been rushed to hospital following a crash on the A82 this morning.

The incident took place around 8.30am on the road just outside the village of Crianlarich, Stirling.

The smash involved a silver Honda motorcycle and a white Clio.

Emergency services raced to the scene and a 40-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious injuries.

Medics describe his condition as stable.

No one else was injured in the event.

The road was closed for vehicle recovery and for officers to carry out enquiries into the accident.

It reopened around 2.10pm.

Cops are now asking for anyone with any information on the crash to come forward.

Sergeant Colin Morrison said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing with anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.

“If you saw what happened then please make contact with us, particularly if you have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation.”

Anyone who can assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0985 of Saturday, 25 June, 2022.
