Motorcyclist left injured after hit and run crash in Glasgow

A motorcyclist has been left injured after a hit and run crash with a car in Glasgow.

The incident, which took place on Barmulloch Road at around 11am yesterday morning, involved a motorcycle and a silver Ford Fiesta, which fled from the scene following the collision.

The biker was treated for an arm injury following the crash.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

PC David Caldwell of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we are working to identify the car involved.

“The motorcyclist received treatment for an arm injury.

“We are keen to trace the driver of the silver Ford Fiesta. The Fiesta is possibly a 2002 – 2008 model.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us, along with any motorists who may have captured the incident on dash cam. You may have footage which could assist enquiries.

“Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1130 of 8 July, 2021.”
