Garda forensic collision investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene yesterday but the road has since fully reopened to motorists.

A spokesperson for An Garda Siochana told The Irish Mirror: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal traffic collision in County Leitrim on Friday 12th May, 2023.

"Shortly after 8:40am, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a fatal single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on the R208 Drumcong to Ballinamore Road at Aghacashlaun.
