Motorcyclist dies following crash with campervan near Highland beauty spot

A MOTORCYCLIST has died in a crash involving a campervan in the Highlands as police appeal for witnesses.

Police were called to a report of a crash involving a Triumph Tiger motorcycle and a silver-coloured Ford Transit campervan on the A832 between Inverewe viewpoint and Tournaig at around 3.10pm on Thursday.

Emergency services attended to a 59-year-old man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the camper van were uninjured.

The road was closed for around six hours while officers carried out their investigation.

Police are now calling for any witnesses to come forward to help them with the investigation.

Sergeant Ewan Calder said: “Our inquiries are continuing to understand the full circumstances of what happened. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the motorcyclist who died.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.

“The road re-opened at 9.45pm same date. I want to thank members of the public for their patience while we investigated this serious crash.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2021 of September 11, 2025.”
