Motorbike rider suffers leg injury after Queens Drive crash

A motorbike rider suffered a serious leg injury after a crash on Queens Drive.

Merseyside Police were called to the busy road in West Derby at around midday on Wednesday, May 31, following reports of a crash. Once officers arrived at the scene they found a motorbike and a car had crashed on the road between Prescot Road and Edge Lane.

The motorbike rider suffered a serious injury to their leg. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.

As emergency services worked at the scene two lanes of traffic were closed, which caused some congestion.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We received a report just before midday of a collision involving a motorbike and a vehicle on Queens Drive, West Derby today, Wednesday, May 31. Both drivers stopped at scene.

"Motorbike rider sustained a serious injury to leg."
