
Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has replaced the newly appointed health minister, Nabila al-Rumaili, only eight days after she assumed her post.
According to the royal order, the King appointed on Thursday Khaled Ait al-Talib as Minister of Health and Social Protection, succeeding Rumaili.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 47 of the constitution, the appointment comes in accordance with the constitutional requirements and based on a request submitted by the Prime Minister to relieve Rumaili from her governmental duties at her own request, the statement read.
Rumaili said she wanted to devote her time to fulfill her duties as President of the City Council of Casablanca.
