Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul and ex ordered to stay apart by Utah court

  • Taylor Frankie Paul, known from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen, have been issued mutual three-year protective orders against each other following a court hearing in Utah.
  • The protective orders stipulate that Paul and Mortensen must not make contact and must maintain a distance of at least 100 feet (30 metres) from one another, with the court aiming to prevent further conflict in their “toxic relationship”.
  • Third District Court Commissioner Russell Minas postponed a decision regarding the custody of their son, Ever, until May 11, confirming that current parenting arrangements will remain in place and a review is scheduled for June.
  • Both individuals had made allegations of domestic violence, prompting Commissioner Minas to grant the mutual orders, stating that keeping them apart was in the best interest of their child due to their ongoing volatile dynamic.
  • The case stems from a turbulent relationship, which included a leaked video from 2023 showing Paul allegedly assaulting Mortensen, leading to charges of aggravated assault and other offences; Paul subsequently pleaded guilty to an assault charge, which will be reduced to a misdemeanour if she remains out of legal trouble for three years.
