JAIPUR: On the occasion of World Heart Day on September 29, 2024, Manipal Green Fit Marathon is being organized by Motion Brains Private Limited in Vidyadhar Nagar, Jaipur. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the city residents about this time run marathon being held for the first time in the Vidyadhar Nagar area.
According to the organisers, so far more than 1500 people including several national-level athletes have registered for the marathon, which includes city residents from all sections. This marathon is being presented by Manipal Hospital, and its sponsor is Tilak Builders and co-sponsor is Jaipur Fit. This information was given by the organizer and founder of Motion Brains Private Limited, Virendra Singh.
He further said that the objective of this marathon is to promote a healthy lifestyle as well as to give a message of environmental protection. There are three categories in the marathon, 3 km fun run - in which people are participating in the race for entertainment. 5 km time run and 10 km time run - in both these categories the participants' race will be timed, and the winners will be given prizes.
On Sunday, September 29, at 5 am, first the 10 km and then the 5 km time run will start from Vidyadhar Nagar, Sun and Moon Complex, pass through Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium Road and end back at Sun and Moon Complex. To encourage the participants in the program, Bollywood singer, Ravindra Upadhyay will perform in his melodious voice and Devendra Jhajharia, the first Indian to win two gold medals for India in the Paralympics, will encourage the participating runners.
Manipal Hospital Jaipur, Director Ranjan Thakur said that the purpose of organizing the marathon on World Heart Day is to spread awareness about heart health among people, he has called upon more and more people to participate in it. Head Marketing Manipal Hospital Ramesh Dharmani said that the marathon T-shirt was also launched today.
Arun Taylor of Jaipur Fit said that the marathon is being organized with the slogan "Run for Green Earth". The purpose of which is to increase awareness towards the environment and to give the message of Green India and Green World. Therefore, all the participants will be given a tree as a gift along with the certificate and T-shirt, so that they can contribute to environmental protection.
Ram Taylor of Tilak Builders appealed to the businessmen and real estate people of Jaipur to participate in the marathon, he said that this marathon is related to health and environment; and such events can be made possible only with collective awareness.
