More Palestine Action supporters charged, taking total to 138

Palestine Action
  • An additional 24 individuals have been charged for showing support for Palestine Action, bringing the total number of prosecutions to 138 since the group was proscribed as a terror organisation in July.
  • These latest charges come ahead of a planned protest in London on Saturday, where organisers anticipate over 1,000 attendees.
  • The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) stated that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, supporting Palestine Action, a proscribed terrorist organisation, constitutes a criminal offence under the Terrorism Act.
  • Frank Ferguson of the CPS warned that those who choose to support the group will face criminal proceedings and urged people to consider the consequences of their actions.
  • The Metropolitan Police have unequivocally warned that anyone showing support for Palestine Action at Saturday's protest will be arrested, confirming they have the necessary resources to process offenders.
