Monday's weather forecast for Leeds brings another dry day to the city

It's set to be dry and cloudy start to the week for Leeds on Monday morning as temperatures creep up towards a maximum of 12 degrees.

The past few days of freezing nights have mercifully ended for the time being, although the brightest and milder of the weather is expected to take place in the East of the county.

According to the latest forecast there should be some sunshine around for most of the day, however, the Met Office has also warned that isolated outbreaks of rain and drizzle are possible, mainly across western hills.

For Leeds specifically, Monday is expected to be a dry day as the sun rises at 6:34am with only a 10% chance of rain occurring all day. It will however remain cloudy and overcast until the sun sets at around 7.47pm.

Temperatures for the day will remain between 12°C and 9°C, providing a warm and welcome change to the cold snap seen in recent days.
