Molly Ringwald stuns at Fashion Week, walks Batsheva show over 40

Molly Ringwald walks the Batsheva show during New York Fashion Week.

Molly Ringwald, known for her roles in movies like 'Sixteen Candles' and 'Pretty in Pink,' recently made a splash at Fashion Week in New York City. The 55-year-old actress took the catwalk by storm and showcased her timeless elegance and style.

Ringwald walked the runway for Batsheva, an inclusive fashion label that celebrates the unique experiences of aging. The show featured models over 40, including fellow actress Ione Skye. The collection aimed to challenge societal norms surrounding aging and beauty.

During the show, Ringwald donned two striking outfits. The first was an all-purple dress that perfectly captured the spirit of the '80s with its exaggerated shoulders, matching belt, and below-the-knee length. Her second outfit, an all-black ensemble, had a more modern flair, featuring a unique head-covering and a black hand warmer.

Complementing the collection's theme, Ringwald's makeup, done by Laura Geller Beauty, exuded a radiant glow. The overall aesthetic of the collection was a blend of historical references and modern fabrics and colors, creating a beautifully feminine look.

Prior to her runway appearance for Batsheva, Ringwald attended Helmut Lang's show in Brooklyn. She turned heads in a chic black tailored suit accentuated by honey yellow stripes on the pants and a matching button-up shirt. To amp up her style quotient, she even donned sunglasses indoors, adding a cool touch to her ensemble.

This isn't the first time Ringwald's fashion choices have made headlines. During an interview, she mentioned that she wishes she still had her iconic costumes from movies like 'The Breakfast Club' and her prom dress from 'Pretty in Pink.' The polka-dot halter-neck top from 'Pretty in Pink' was based on her personal style, although Ringwald revealed in a past interview that she initially wasn't a fan of the look.

Reflecting on her fashion journey, Ringwald expressed that she used to possess a vast collection of clothing but may have lost some of it over the years due to moving. She humorously quipped that perhaps her beloved items would resurface on Etsy or First Dibs.

Molly Ringwald's appearance at New York Fashion Week once again demonstrated her effortless style and ability to effortlessly transition between eras. As she continues to captivate audiences with her talents on screen, she also enthralls with her fashion choices, both past and present.
