Molly-Mae Hague suffers with a 'battle in her own mind' around exercise and healthy eating

Molly-Mae Hague revealed she's been having a 'battle in her own mind' around daily exercising and clean eating.

The star took to her YouTube channel to share a video on her habits during her 'period week' and it includes McDonald's, doughnuts and a confession regarding her relationship with food.

She admitted she usually doesn't want to exercise or eat healthily but realises she has to for certain jobs and for a generally healthier lifestyle.

"I’d be lying if I said that more than ever at the moment I feel the pressure so much with my body and just a battle within my own mind," she began.

"I wake up every day thinking ‘I know I need to exercise today, I know I need to eat clean today, I’ve got a shoot in two weeks’. And most of the time I just don’t want to, that’s the complete truth.

"I don’t want to exercise and I don’t want to eat clean. Don’t get me wrong, some days I’ll wake up and think ‘I do want to exercise and I do want to have a salad for lunch’."

She concluded: "And some days I wake up and think ‘The last thing I wanna do right now is exercise and the last thing I wanna do is go to Pret and get a salad for lunch’ when actually I want Macaroni and Cheese and then I want a bag of crisps and then I want a cookie and then I want a full-fat coke afterwards and that is totally fine."

Molly-Mae went on to say that she is currently 'on a journey' and that 'us girls' have always struggled with the societal pressure of exercising and eating to look a certain way.

The Pretty Little Thing Creative Director admitted she sometimes posts a lot of exercise and clean eating material on her social media.

She realised that, for some people, seeing her get up at 6 am to go to the gym every day is 'nauseating'.

Her latest YouTube video comes after the Love Island star announced she had penned her autobiography, Becoming Molly-Mae.

The social media superstar, who first shot to fame on Love Island in 2019, has promised fans that her first book, named Becoming, will detail some of the most personal and private matters of her life.

Priced at £20, 'Becoming Molly-Mae: My Story', the autobiography will detail Molly-Mae's rapid rise to stardom and how she became the biggest success story to emerge from Love Island.
