Molly-Mae Hague reveals fake tan fail after dribbling at Christmas

Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has opened up to reveal a Christmas fake tan fail with fans on her Instagram.

Molly-Mae , 20, who lives in Manchester, posted a video showing that she had dribbled after falling asleep and smudged some of the fake tan off her face.

The social media influencer, who shares her makeup tips online, wrote: “I’m such a dribbler I can’t deal. I wake up in a swimming pool every morning."

Chatting to fans she said to camera: “How’s all your Christmases going?”

“If you’re wondering about mine, I’ve just fallen asleep on the sofa for two hours and I’ve dribbled off most of the fake tan from my face.”

Molly-Mae, who met and fell in love with Manchester boxer Tommy Fury on the ITV2 dating show Love Island this summer,

was thrilled that her boyfriend had driven four hours to be with her on Christmas Day.

And the romantic sportsman presented her with a gold Cartier ring that she had pointed out while they were on a trip to New York.

"I said I loved this ring in New York and he remembered," she told her Instagram followers.

Last month Molly-Mae incurred the wrath of Twitter after using a foundation shade darker than her skin tone.

She sparked debate on social media after sharing a makeup tutorial in which she demonstrated a base makeup in the same shade used by women with darker skin.

Molly revealed that she uses a MAC foundation in shade NC42 in her YouTube video and some Twitter users didn't approve.

They believe that as a white woman she shouldn't be using that shade.

"Molly Mae uses NC42. I, a brown woman use NC42 foundation," said one.

Sorry but the shade that Molly-Mae is doing her make up with is MY SHADE and I’m black????" said another.

Others defended Molly-Mae, who was accused of 'cultural appropriation' at Halloween for dressing up as Cleopatra, saying she's using the darker shade for contouring.

"I actually watched that Molly Mae tutorial and even though its mad she uses NC42 foundation she actually does reverse contour and uses a concealer for her skin colour to do her angles etc," defended one follower.

"Can’t lie Molly-Mae’s NC42 foundation isn’t really that dark. I wear NC44 and I’m light skinned. It has a tanned/orange undertone so it goes well with fake tan," said another.
