Molly-Mae Hague apologises for slamming 'grim' food on trip to Venice

Molly-Mae Hague was forced to apologise for her comments about the food she ate in Venice as she slammed it as "grim" on social media.

The influencer, 21, seemed to have angered some fans with her experience as she took to Instagram to say she was sorry for moaning about  the Italian food on her luxe getaway.

Sharing a throwback snap of an ice cream she tried during her break, Molly penned: "I absolutely loved Venice but one thing I will say about Italy in general… The food is actually shocking?

"So controversial I know but I've been a lot of times now to different parts and I've tried a lot of different restaurants and I'm always so disappointed."

She added: "It's meant to be the home of pizza and pasta and I really can't see how! Strange. Even this ice cream was grim."

But her comments seemed to have raised some eyebrows as Molly later took to social media to point out the many messages she got from unhappy followers.

Posting a video on her Instagram Story, she said: "My DMs are going wild with this Italy food thing.

"Sorry if I've offended anyone it's just my experience and everyone's like: 'You've only tried the touristy restaurants', and no, I've actually tried all different kinds - like rural restaurants."

She added: "I was recommended to go to all these traditional Italian restaurants that are meant to serve the best pizza and pasta and again I just wasn't impressed.

"And it's not me being ungrateful, I've had the best time it's just my experience with the food."

It seems as though the blonde beauty prefers some good old fashion English grub as she snapped up a photo of her delicious Sunday roast on her Instagram Story.

She and boyfriend Tommy Fury treated themselves to the delicious classic as they rounded their weekend up.
