Moise Kean backed to fire Everton into Europe as Juventus transfer draws closer

Moise Kean has been backed to be the difference in Everton's quest to qualify for Europe this season as the Blues close in on agreeing a deal with Juventus.

The 19-year-old is set to become Marco Silva's fourth signing of the summer in a £27million move, following in the footsteps of Jonas Lossl, Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph.

Everton narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Europa League last season, finishing three points behind seventh-placed Wolves.

But with Chelsea under transfer ban under new manager in Frank Lampard, and Manchester United and Arsenal in transition following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Unai Emery's appointments last season, former England international Danny Mills has backed the Italy international to fire the Blues into Europe.

"Moise Kean is young but he’s been doing it at a higher level, more frequently," Mills told Football Insider. "If Everton could add him to their squad then yes, they would have a real good challenge on the top six.

"This is what happens at this time of year, they’re thinking we need one in. Sometimes I think it’s best to pay that little bit extra and get that one in, job done and dusted."
