Mohamed Salah reveals his determination to win title with Liverpool next season

Mohamed Salah has vowed to stay at Liverpool and fight for the title next season.

The Reds forward won the Golden Boot this campaign but saw his side narrowly miss out on winning a first Premier League title to Manchester City.

Salah was linked with a move away to Juventus earlier in the season, but has all-but put this speculation to bed by outlining his ambitions for the 2019/20 campaign.

"We only lost one game all season," said Salah following Liverpool's win over Wolves on the final day. "We gave everything. We got 97 points. We will fight next season for the title."

Jurgen Klopp's reaction to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang winning Golden Boot

Liverpool are still in contention to win some silverware this season when they take on Tottenham in the Champions League final.

But missing out on the title will have been a blow to Klopp's side, who finished the season with 97 points - a record haul for a team coming in second.

Looking back on the Reds' campaign, Jamie Carragher told Sky Sports: "Liverpool have a manager who is an optimist and will feel he can challenge again next season.

"But if City are going to get 96, 98, 100 points it's very difficult to stop.

"The only thing Liverpool can look back with at regret is they didn't beat City.

Premier League odds to win title NEXT season revealed

"You can't expect other people to take points off City if you don't do it yourselves and Liverpool only took one from six against City.

"Next season they have to look at those games as cup finals and beat them, although that's easier said than done!"
