Mob boss Daniel Kinahan hasn't fled Dubai as he's spotted playing soccer in public

Mob boss Daniel Kinahan hasn’t fled Dubai and has been spotted playing soccer on Palm Islands in recent weeks.

The Irish Mirror has learned he is still in his gulf state bolthole despite having bank accounts and other assets frozen by authorities in the UAE and massive sanctions imposed against him by the US.

Sources say Kinahan was seen playing soccer in public along with his cousin Ian Dixon, who himself was sanctioned by the US government.

A source told us: “He hasn’t fled. He’s stayed put.

“Kinahan feels he’s safe in Dubai and for the moment is carrying on as though he hasn’t got a care in the world.”

Dixon, 32, was named by the US and listed as Kinahan’s banker, the manager of his money, payments and chasing debtors.

Sources say Kinahan is behaving as though nothing has happened and for the time being believes he won’t be touched by authorities in the UAE.

Ireland has no treaty with the country that would allow him to be extradited to face charges.

However, efforts have been made in recent years to open a dialogue between Irish diplomats in the Department of Foreign Affairs and authorities in the country.
