MLB world reacts to Seattle’s Hector Santiago being the first pitcher ejected after search by umps

It’s been just under a week since Major League Baseball started having umps checking pitches for illegal sticky substances and we finally have our first ejection.

Seattle’s Hector Santiago was tossed in Chicago while he was making his way off the field after being lifted in the fifth inning. The umps took a few moments checking his glove and then made the ruling.

Santiago, who came in as relief in the third inning, had his glove confiscated and officials put it in a bag for some reason. The whole scene was a weird one.
