MLB The Show 25 Roster Update: Who Are the New Diamonds?

Last Friday, San Diego Studio dropped its latest roster update for MLB The Show 25, rolling out a fresh batch of Diamond-rated players. These roster updates continue to shake up Diamond Dynasty, rewarding fans who keep an eye on the market in an effort to attain cards for cheap before flipping them for a profit. Roster updates have been especially important this year, as the Live Series market has continually been making it harder and harder to complete the Live Series collection, even as endgame content has begun to drop.

If you’ve been making investments or are just curious as to who SDS thinks is putting together some extraordinary performances, here are the players who have gone Diamond in MLB The Show 25 as of the last roster update.

The 88+ Diamond Club

The headliners of the latest roster update in MLB The Show 25 are the four players who cracked the coveted 88+ Diamond threshold. They are as follows:

  • Jeremy Peña (SS, Astros) – Houston’s shortstop has been swinging a hot bat, and his balanced profile on both sides of the ball has made him one of the best Live Series players in the game.
  • Ronald Acuña Jr. (OF, Braves) – A perennial superstar, Acuña returns to top-tier Diamond status thanks to his trademark mix of power, speed, and highlight-reel defense, even after a long-term injury
  • Logan Gilbert (SP, Mariners) – The Mariners’ ace-in-the-making is finally getting Diamond recognition, rewarding players who’ve invested early in his Live Series card.
  • Aroldis Chapman (RP, Red Sox) – The veteran flamethrower continues to dominate hitters late in games, making him one of the scariest bullpen arms available. It’s unreal what he’s done this season for Boston, at 37 years old no less

In turn, these players’ market value has now risen. Most of them are going for quicksell prices, so if you’re interested in seeing what these investments will pay (should you have invested), here’s our quicksell chart.

Other New Diamonds

To become a Diamond in MLB The Show, a player’s overall rating must crack the 85 threshold. Here are several other players who met that criteria late last week.

  • Shea Langeliers (C, Athletics)
  • Alejandro Kirk (C, Blue Jays)
  • Nico Hoerner (2B, Cubs)
  • Kyle Schwarber (OF, Phillies)
  • Julio Rodríguez (OF, Mariners)
  • Ceddanne Rafaela (UTIL, Red Sox)
  • Brice Turang (2B, Brewers)
  • Edwin Díaz (CP, Mets)
  • Nick Pivetta (SP, Padres)

These are the players who went Diamond as of the last roster update in MLB The Show 25. Hopefully, you’ve either finished the Live Series collection, will be able to finally do it now, or simply have enough Stubs for the cards you want to use.
