MLB The Show 25: All 7th Inning Content, Revealed

MLB The Show 25 is rolling into the late innings of its Diamond Dynasty content cycle, with the 7th Inning being the latest content update, and one that promises more endgame-quality content. As always, with the release of the 7th Inning cycle, players can expect new rewards, missions, and, of course, brand-new Boss cards. San Diego Studio teased the new content for days, and finally, we now know what that content is.

Alongside the Boss card reveals, the developers also announced additional content, including the new Weekend Classic Rewards, Cornerstone Evolutions, and more. Here is all of the content for the 7th Inning in MLB The Show 25.

7th Inning XP Path Bosses

Milestone Steve Carlton

First up is Phillies legend Steve Carlton. While not necessarily one of the first cards Diamond Dynasty players think of, Carlton has a good pitch mix which includes a primary slider, 4-seamer, curveball, changeup, and sinker. And his per-9’s are really good as well. Here they are in full:

  • Stamina (STA): 125
  • Hits/9 (H/9): 111
  • K/9: 109
  • BB/9: 90
  • HR/9: 94
  • Pitch Clutch (PCLT): 118
  • Control (CTRL): 91
  • Velocity (VEL): 99
  • Break (BRK): 99

Hall Of Fame David Ortiz

Show favorite Big Papi returns with a Hall of Fame card. And, as expected, David Ortiz is an incredible bat to have in the lineup. The only issue is that he’s not much of a fielder, so you may have to use your DH spot on him. Then again, he’s a first basemen, so maybe you can get away with it.

Here are his splits:

  • Contact vs R (CON R): 121
  • Contact vs L (CON L): 108
  • Power vs R (POW R): 125
  • Power vs L (POW L): 105
  • Vision (VIS): 93
  • Discipline (DISC): 120
  • Clutch (CLT): 125
  • Fielding (FLD): 56
  • Arm Strength (ARM): 48
  • Arm Accuracy (ACC): 50
  • Reaction (REAC): 54
  • Speed (SPD): 42
  • Stealing (STEAL): 12
  • Baserunning Aggressiveness (BR AGG): 8

Retro Finest Chase Headley

Ahhh, a Padres Chase Headley card, before the Yankees got whatever was left of him. All saltiness aside, this Headley card is awesome. A primary third baseman with 1B secondary, the switch-hitter should find his way into any lineup that isn’t already occupied by Jose Ramirez.

Here are the splits:

  • Contact vs R (CON R): 115
  • Contact vs L (CON L): 102
  • Power vs R (POW R): 105
  • Power vs L (POW L): 116
  • Vision (VIS): 85
  • Discipline (DISC): 100
  • Clutch (CLT): 108
  • Fielding (FLD): 93
  • Arm Strength (ARM): 86
  • Arm Accuracy (ACC): 88
  • Reaction (REAC): 95
  • Speed (SPD): 75
  • Stealing (STEAL): 62
  • Baserunning Aggressiveness (BR AGG): 70

Weekend Classic Rewards

Awards Series Randy Johnson

Image: SDS / YouTube

As announced earlier, the 99-rated Awards Series Randy Johnson is one of the Weekend Classic rewards this time around. And he’s exactly what you’d expect a Randy card to be. The outlier fastball and sidearm mechanics are the selling points, but the slider-slurve-splitter tunnel is extremely underrated as well. Even the 2-seamer can be effective if you can locate it and work off the fastball.

Here are his per-9’s:

  • Stamina (STA): 111
  • Hits/9 (H/9): 110
  • K/9: 109
  • BB/9: 84
  • HR/9: 93
  • Pitch Clutch (PCLT): 120
  • Control (CTRL): 81
  • Velocity (VEL): 99
  • Break (BRK): 99

Milestone Jackie Robinson

Our first 99-rated Jackie Robinson of the year, and it’s a beauty. The Milestone card art looks spectacular, and so does the card. As expected, Robinson is a 5-tool player, capable of hitting for contact, bunting, fielding, stealing bases, and even hitting a few dingers.

Here are the splits:

  • Contact vs R (CON R): 125
  • Contact vs L (CON L): 125
  • Power vs R (POW R): 93
  • Power vs L (POW L): 85
  • Vision (VIS): 115
  • Discipline (DISC): 90
  • Clutch (CLT): 125
  • Bunt (BUNT): 99
  • Drag Bunt (DBUNT): 99
  • Durability (DUR): 99
  • Fielding (FLD): 90
  • Arm Strength (ARM): 73
  • Arm Accuracy (ACC): 80
  • Reaction (REAC): 92
  • Speed (SPD): 95
  • Stealing (STEAL): 90
  • Baserunning Aggressiveness (BR AGG): 93

Cornerstone Evolution Cards

We’re not gonna get too deep into the Cornerstone cards because let’s face it, by this point, nobody’s really using them. They are either fodder for collections or theme teams. But for those interested, this cycle’s Cornerstone Evolutions will include 99-rated versions of the following players:

  • Wade Boggs (Boston Red Sox)
  • Brandon Webb (Arizona Diamondbacks)
  • Willie Stargell (Pittsburgh Pirates)

Milestone Rich Gossage

Image: SDS / YouTube

Last but not least, we have Awards Series Rich “Goose” Gossage as an XP Reward Path card that you can unlock upon reaching 113,000 XP. With an outlier fastball, sinker, slurve, and changeup, he’ll be one of the best righty relievers in the game.

  • Stamina (STA): 40
  • Hits/9 (H/9): 125
  • Strikeouts/9 (K/9): 122
  • Walks/9 (BB/9): 78
  • Home Runs/9 (HR/9): 88
  • Pitch Clutch (PCLT): 125
  • Control (CTRL): 82
  • Velocity (VEL): 99
  • Break (BRK): 99
