Police are appealing for help to find a missing teenager who disappeared overnight in Forth Valley.

Shannon Duffy was last seen at around 9.20pm on Wednesday at an address in Stirling Street, Denny.

The 19-year-old has not been heard from since and concern is growing for her welfare as police carry out searches in the local area.

She is described as being white, 5ft 4in tall with ginger hair that is shaved at the sides and curly on top.

The teen is believed to be wearing a white t-shirt with a multicoloured pattern on it, black tracksuit bottoms, a grey/blue jumper and black and white trainers.

She is also thought to be carrying a rucksack with a coloured pattern on the back.

Shannon is known to frequent the Falkirk and Glasgow areas, often using the bus to travel.

Sergeant Alyson Bolton from Grangemouth Police Office said: "Shannon has been missing for a number of hours now and we are understandably worried about her.

“We have a number of police resources out looking for Shannon and I am now looking for the assistance from the public in tracing her.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen Shannon, or anyone with information on her whereabouts to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 5008 of the 12 August, 2020.
