Missing mother and baby spark appeal after judge expresses 'extreme concern' for child

An appeal has been issued to find a missing mother and her baby after a judge said he was “extremely concerned” for the child's welfare.

Kristine Jakovleva, 26, and five-month-old Elisa Warner have not been seen since they went missing more than two weeks ago.

Their disappearance came after Ms Jakovleva became involved in family court proceedings with the child's father, Adam Warner.

Mr Warner, Russian-born Ms Jaovleva's former partner, pleaded for her to get in touch

“All I would say to Kristine is please let me know where you are,” the 42-year-old told Sky News.

“I just need to know that you and Elisa are safe. Don't worry about anything else. Please just tell us where you are so we know that you are both okay."

Mr Justice Mostyn, who sits in the Family Division of the High Court, had previously said: "Elisa's whereabouts are completely unknown.

"I am extremely concerned about her welfare."

The family had lived in the Isle of Dogs, east London, and near Bideford, family court judges heard.

Ms Jakovleva - who has links to Latvia - was reportedly staying with a friend called Laila Brice in Dagenham, east London, when she vanished on February 16.
