Missing man last seen outside Scots hospital as cops launch urgent search

A search operation is underway to trace a man who vanished from a Scots hospital.

Colin Meldrum was last seen on CCTV at 11.15am on Saturday April 30 outside the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.

Police say the 48-year-old has connections to the capital's Saughton area.

He is described as 6ft 1in and of a medium build.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a light blue polo shirt, dark blue jeans and dark blue trainers.

He also wears a distinctive gold ring with criss-cross detail.

Inspector Scott Casey said: “We are asking anyone who has seen Colin or may know where he is to get in touch as concerns are growing for his welfare.

“If you can help please get in touch with us via 101, quoting reference number 1451 of Saturday, 30 April.”
