Missing Bristol woman disappeared from French home with just clothes and $6000

French police are investigating the disappearance of a Bristol-born woman who went missing from her home in France more than a year ago.

Karen Milsom, 52, who was born in Bristol, left her home in the western Charente region of France on in August 2019.

She left her home more than a year ago with just her clothes and around 6,000 Euros in cash.

She is one of more than 800 British people listed as missing abroad by the Lucie Blackman Trust.

Karen is 5ft 2ins tall and of slim build. She has jaw-length strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Jon Ward, brother of Karen, a blacksmith from Gloucestershire, told The Guardian: ““She has never done anything like this in the past. It’s completely out of character for her to behave in this manner.

“We are extremely concerned. She would never have left her family with no contact for so long, so it’s my opinion that something has happened to my sister.”

The Lucie Blackman Trust said: “This disappearance, from her home in Charente, France, is completely out of character and there are serious concerns for her.”
