Missing 13-year-old Scots girl sparks frantic search as police 'increasingly concerned'

A Scots schoolgirl has vanished sparking a police frantic search.

Lauren Murphy went missing on Tuesday and was last seen around 1.20pm in the Falkirk area.

Police are now becoming 'increasingly concerned' for the 13-year-old's welfare.

She is also known to frequent Langlees, Larbert and Falkirk Town Centre.

Lauren is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of a slim build with long dark hair.

At the time she was last seen, Lauren was wearing a black puffer jacket, grey hooded top, leggings and black trainers.

Sergeant Roddy Swan, of Forth Valley Response Policing Unit, said: “We are becomingly increasingly concerned for Lauren and would ask if anyone who has notice a young girl matching this description to get in contact with police.

“If you have any information that could help us trace Lauren safe and well, please get in contact with officers.

“Police can be contacted by calling 101 quoting incident number 2251 of Wednesday, 24 March, 2021.”
