Former Leeds United striker forward Mirco Antenucci is willing his old club on towards promotion.
Antenucci spent two years at Elland Road after arriving from Ternana in 2014.
During his time at with the Whites, the Italian netted 19 times across 75 league appearances.
And while he has long since returned to Italy, first playing for SPAL before moving on to current club Bari, Antenucci is desperately hoping Leeds can finally return to the top flight.
In an interview with TeleBarri, the 35-year-old expressed his love for the club and his desire to see Marcelo Bielsa's men finish the job.
“I love that club," he said. "I was lucky to have an experience in such a club. It’s incredible.
"I cheer them on. They are second, I hope they’ll go to the Premier League.
"They have a heated fanbase. I remember it fondly. It’s a city that deserves it.”
Leeds are currently second in the Championship, goal difference behind West Brom, who now lead after drawing their first game back while the Whites lost to Cardiff.
Perhaps more importantly, though, Bielsa's men have a seven-point lead over Fulham in third and remain very much on course to return to the top flight with just eight games remaining.
