UDAIPUR: The CWC team in Udaipur on Thursday rescued a 13-year-old girl from her cousin's wife who allegedly tortured and branded her with a hot knife. On a complaint lodged by a neighbour, the CWC team rescued her from the cousin's house in Savina.
The girl was facing these atrocities since several months. The girl is a resident of Bihar and had been living with her cousin's brother and sister-in-law in Udaipur.
She was brought to Udaipur on the pretext of education but was made to do the household chores including taking care of a small baby. The girl's cousin brother works as a labourer. Whenever he was out for work, the sister-in-law used to torture her.
