HYDERABAD: TRS ministers, including finance minister T Harish Rao and agriculture minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, slammed Union minister Piyush Goyal’s remarks on Friday.
Stating that the minister was not afraid to insult Telangana’s people, Rao said, “He should apologise for his remarks. “State BJP leaders are asking farmers to grow paddy but their government is refusing to buy paddy.
Conditions in Telangana are different from Punjab. Privileged people like the minister will not understand farmers’ issues. Why is the Centre not doing anything on WTO agreement prohibiting the government from exporting rice to other countries?” he asked.
