Millie Bobby Brown's awkward 'hint' at David Harbour 'feud' revealed in resurfaced interview

Millie Bobby Brown appeared to hint at apparent tensions with David Harbour in an interview months before reports of a “feud” between the stars emerged.

It was reported at the weekend that the Stranger Things actress, 21, filed a formal complaint against her co-star, 50, alleging bullying and harassment during filming of the final season of the hit Netflix series.

Her alleged filing, according to the Mail on Sunday, allegedly included “pages and pages of accusations” and sparked a months-long internal investigation.

A YouTube video has now resurfaced that showed Brown looking seemingly uncomfortable when Harbour was brought up in conversation.

During an MTV interview with Josh Horowitz last year, she was asked if Harbour’s Stranger Things character Hopper could officiate her wedding to Jake Bongiovi.

“David Harbour officiating…” Horowitz suggested.

Brown paused and furrowed her eyebrows, replying warily: “Yes... Yes. I don’t know how I feel...”

She then added: “Sure… Matthew Modine, I think.”

Modine played role of Papa in Stranger Things and did later go on to officiate Brown and Bongiovi’s wedding. The young couple now share an adopted baby girl.

Brown played Eleven in the Netflix sci-fi drama, while Harbour played police chief Jim Hopper who later formally adopted her.

Reacting to the video, one fan said on X that the “bullying” claims “make sense now”.

Another added: “Looking at this differently after the allegations against David Harbour.”

Over the weekend, it was claimed Brown accused Harbour of harassment during on the Stranger Things set.

“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.

“There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”

She was reportedly later accompanied on set by a personal representative during the final season of filming, which wrapped in December 2024.

Netflix has declined to comment and neither Brown nor Harbour has publicly addressed the alleged complaint.

However, Harbour reflected on his dynamic with his younger Stranger Things co-stars in an interview just weeks before the allegations broke.

He described a paternal-style bond with the younger members of the ensemble — Brown, Finn Wolfhard, 22, Noah Schnapp, 21, Caleb McLaughlin, 24, Sadie Sink, 23, and Gaten Matarazzo, 23.

“They’re all pretty good kids,” he told Esquire Spain.

Sharing the advice he gave them, Harbour explained: “One of the real ropes to hang on to in this business for me has been the artistry of what you’re doing.

“One of the things that you can control is your particular passion for storytelling, for art, for what you want to say – your voice.”

The Hellboy star - whom his ex Lily Allen recently accused of cheating - said fame can be destabilising for young actors if they lose sight of why they began performing in the first place.

“I would love to see Gaten [Matarazzo] play King Lear when he’s 70 years old,” he added. “I would like to see those kinds of careers out of them.”
