Military officials have voiced concerns over President Donald Trump's open-door policy at the White House, warning of potential information "spillage" after high-profile visitors, including Mark Zuckerberg, reportedly entered during a sensitive meeting, according to a new report.
During a meeting in the Oval Office with the president to discuss the Air Force's upcoming production of what is being called "the world's first sixth-generation fighter jet," designated the F-47, anonymous sources told NBC News that Meta founder Zuckerberg unexpectedly walked in. Officials, concerned that he lacked the necessary security clearance, asked him to wait outside.
In the same meeting, a young aide briefly interrupted to show the president something on her laptop before exiting. Trump also received multiple phone calls during the session, prompting military officials to question whether these interruptions, and the presence of unauthorized individuals, may have compromised sensitive information.
These were not isolated incidents, according to a senior administration official. President Trump has been known to interrupt meetings to call a friend or confidant, and has frequently asked Cabinet members to remain for subsequent meetings, regardless of their relevance, meaning they might end up spending hours at the White House at Trump's request.
"They should be running their bureaucracies," an anonymous source told NBC News. "They shouldn't be hanging around the White House."
