Miley Cyrus has broken her social media silence following her split with Liam Hemsworth.
The singer posted a picture of her stood in front of a mountain range along with a cryptic post about "evolution" on Sunday.
She wrote: "Don't fight evolution, because you will never win.
"Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.
"The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed."
Fellow superstar Ariana Grande responded to the post with the simple message: "I love you."
The post was Cyrus' first since news broke of her split with Hemsworth.
The couple parted company after less than a year of marriage and a statement regarding this also reference evolving.
Previously, a representative for Cyrus told People in a statement: "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.
"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers.
"They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."
