Micro review: 'A Plane Story' by Anmol Malik

Highlights

Singer-songwriter Anmol Malik, musician Anu Malik's daughter, is carving a niche for herself as an author. While Anmol's debut book 'Three Impossible Wishes', a young adult rom-com, was released in 2020, her second novel 'A Plane Story' was published this December. "Based on a true event, with this title I hope to make you travel through London, Paris and Ludhiana- all from the comfort of your chair!," Anmol said about her new novel in a statement.

Ludhiana boy Dev Thakur's life is messy, because he is reckless. On the other hand, we have Tara Nath-- a simple girl who loves books and her life is in a mess too, but that's because she isn't reckless. While both Dev and Tara are strangers to each other, they are traveling to Paris with a single mission. Dev's ex Anagha Kapoor is getting married to Tara's ex Matt Coleridge in Paris, and so Dev and Tara must reach the city in time to stop their wedding. But, as fate would have it, a volcano erupts disrupting air travel which leaves them stranded at Heathrow airport. This hilarious story with unexpected twists will take you on a fun ride across London, Paris and Ludhiana.

'A Plane Story' is an easy and entertaining read. While the characters seem simple, underneath the surface they are twisted and conflicted in a humorous way. If you like reading romances, then do give this book a try.
