Mick McCarthy paid a touching tribute to Leeds United legend Norman Hunter after he passed away from COVID-19 during lockdown.
Marcelo Bielsa's side returned to Championship action on Sunday for the first time since Hunter's sad passing, as they were beaten 2-0 by Cardiff City.
A goal in each half from Robert Glatzel and Junior Hoilett made the difference as Leeds failed to turn their dominant possession approach into goals.
Whilst Bielsa was left with a similar feeling of frustration after watching his side fail to reap the rewards of their dominance, Fulham's defeat to Brentford on Saturday ensures the gap to third remains at seven points, with one extra game ticked off the list.
Away from the action on the field at the Cardiff City Stadium, former Wolves and Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy, on co-comms for Sky Sports during the match, paid tribute to the late, great Hunter.
"I played a few games alongside him and he got the manager's job as well, so I played for him," McCarthy explained,
"He was brilliant. What he was remembered for was 'Norman bites your legs' but actually he was a brilliant footballer.
"Every session, he got the ball down - a bit like Leeds now - get on with it.
"So yeah, it was bitterly disappointing to hear that news."
