Mick Jagger all smiles despite health scare as he vows to return to performing

Mick Jagger has been pictured looking very chipper despite his recent health scare.

The 75-year-old was forced to postpone a US and Canada tour with the Rolling Stones, which was due to start on April 20 in Miami, after his mystery illness.

In photos taken at the weekend, Mick looked very upbeat as he stood on the balcony of his oceanfront hotel in Miami Beach.

Wearing a light blue sweatshirt and a pair of joggers, Mick was seen grinning as he made the most of the warm weather at the luxury hotel.

Mick Jagger reveals he aims to return to performing six weeks after treatment

He appeared to be joined by daughter Georgia May Jagger, who donned a lace pink dress as she chatted to her dad.

The pair seemed to be enjoying a light-hearted joke with each other as they were pictured laughing together on the balcony.

This comes after it was reported that doctors have advised him that he cannot go on tour at this time as he needs medical attention.

The band say he is expected to make a full recovery and that the dates will be rescheduled.

The singer said: "I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone."

Insiders say Mick will "recover quickly" but that the mystery illness needs to be monitored and may require medical treatment.

A source told The Sun : "As happens ahead of every tour, Mick had a routine screening where something untoward was found. It is something that needs monitoring over the next month, and may require hospital treatment.

"It's a setback, but Mick trains like an athlete and looks after himself. He'll get better quickly."

The legendary rock band had to cancel after Mick was advised against performing by doctors.

A statement released by the band said: "Unfortunately today the Rolling Stones have had to announce the postponement of their upcoming US/Canda tour dates - we apologise for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets to shows but wish to reassure fans to hold onto these existing tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced shortly."

It continued: "Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible."
