Michigan State wide receiver Weston Bridges enters the transfer portal

Another week, another player transferring away from Michigan State.

Wide receiver Weston Bridges is the latest Spartan to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by Matt Wenzel of Mlive.

Bridges confirmed the news on his Twitter feed.

As Wenzel says in his tweet, Bridges moved to wide receiver in the spring after struggling to find touches at running back. Bridges appeared in only four games last season, getting 16 carries for 53 yards. He has yet to appear in a game this season.

Because Bridges has already used his redshirt, he will be a junior once he transfers.

Bridges is the fourth Spartan to enter the transfer portal in the last few weeks. Linebacker Brandon Bouyer-Randle was the first. His move was followed by departures from running backs Connor Heyward and La’Darius Jefferson.
