Michigan State hockey lands commitment from 1st round NHL Draft pick

Michigan State is continuing their huge offseason with another outstanding addition from the transfer portal. The Spartans have landed a commitment from Isaac Howard through the transfer portal. Howard played one year at the University of Minnesota at Duluth before deciding to transfer.

Howard was selected in the first round of the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 31st overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. In his one season with Duluth, Howard scored 6 goals and 11 assists.

Howard played for Nightingale with the United States National Development Team prior to his collegiate career, and now they are reuniting.
