Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to the top-rated running back in the 2024 class.
Jerrick Gibson of Jonesboro, Ga. announced on Wednesday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Gibson is ranked as the No. 1 running back in the 2024 class by 247Sports and the No. 16 overall prospect.
Gibson currently is committed to Florida, according to 247Sports, but that could potentially change with the Gators going through a coaching staff change currently. Michigan State is only the second school to offer Gibson thus far, with Florida being the other school.
Keep an eye on Gibson’s recruitment as it seems the Spartans are looking to show interest in this top-tier talent early on. Hopefully, that’ll help Michigan State’s case moving forward.
