The 2025 recruiting period is starting to heat up, and Michigan State football threw their hat in the ring on Wednesday for the recruitment of Texas’ Elijah Barnes, a 2025 linebacker out of Skyline High School in Dallas.

Barnes isn’t ranked yet by 247sports, but he has offers out from Arizona State, Arkansas State, Baylor, SMU, Texas Southern, and Grambling State.
