Michigan State football loses staffer to Southern Illinois

Dalmin Gibson had spent the last two seasons on Michigan State’s coaching staff as a special teams analyst. Before coming to Michigan State, Gibson spent time at Dickinson State, Wayne State College and Colorado in various graduate assistant, intern and analyst roles.

Per his Twitter account (@CoachDGibson), Gibson has moved on from Michigan State and has accepted a position at Southern Illinois University as their new special teams coordinator and defensive ends coach.

Gibson was known as someone who could resonate well with recruits and played a role in the development of kicker Matt Coghlin and punter Brice Barringer.

He is someone who could be of interest to Mel Tucker if a position opens up at MSU.
