Michigan players try to slow down J.K. Dobbins by untying his shoelace

College defenses haven’t been able to stop Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins all season long, and he entered Saturday’s rivalry game against Michigan with a career high 1,446 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.

After Dobbins scored a touchdown on Ohio State’s first drive of the game, Michigan defenders Carlo Kemp and Aidan Hutchinson devised a new way to try and slow down the Buckeyes’ star. When Dobbins was on the ground at the end of a play in the second quarter, Kemp and Hutchinson worked together to untie Dobbins’ left shoe and pull it off his foot.

Unfortunately for the Wolverines, their tactics didn’t work. A referee spotted what happened, and Kemp earned an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that moved the Buckeyes into Michigan territory.

Later in the drive, Dobbins scored his second touchdown of the game on a 7-yard rush to give Ohio State a 21-13 lead.
