Michelle Keegan says 'it's the little things' over sweet gesture as she reveals 'boost' for late-night filming and lunch of choice

Michelle Keegan has told fans 'it's the little things' as she was given a sweet message while working on her latest project. The former Coronation Street star is currently hard at work as fans will soon be seeing her in a different light.

Actress Michelle, who played Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap for six years before playing Sergeant Georgie Lane in the BBC drama series Our Girl and landing the continuing role of Erin Croft in Brassic, took to Instagram back in February and declared 'the secrets out' as she told her 6.4 million followers that she would be joining the cast of Fool Me Once, the new Netflix adaptation of bestselling author Harlan Coben's book.

Michelle announced the news to her followers with a photo of her posing at a poolside in a bikini with the bestselling book in hand. Another snap showed a sign which read 'Maya', indicating her character's name, as well as an exclusive photo of her filming in action. Alongside the pictures, the 35-year-old wrote: "Finally the secrets out!! I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo…"

The brunette beauty has since been sharing little snippets into her days filming for the new series. Last month she was spotted filming scenes for the Netflix drama in a cemetery in Manchester. Sporting a pale pink padded coat, Michelle transformed into her role of former special ops pilot Maya on the set of the TV adaptation.

Joining her for the scenes was her co-star Richard Armitage, who looked smart in a double-breasted wool coat. The stars were joined by a host of other characters for the sombre scenes in the graveyard.

But on Monday night (April 3), Michelle was working late and shared a pouting selfie as she tucked into her snack of choice. The former soap star, who is married to ex-TOWIE star Mark Wright, could be seen donning a white fluffy dressing gown as she sat looking into the mirror.

With her brunette tresses scraped back and appearing to be wearing a soft palate of makeup with her perfectly sculpted brows, Michelle looked into her phone and pursed her lips as she snapped the image while holding a chocolate bar in her other hand. "Working til midnight so I needed a little boost," she typed alongside the image to her millions of followers.

Then on Tuesday (April 4), as she returned back to filming, Michelle was greeted with a sweet surprise as she tucked into lunch. Sharing a picture of a box, which was confirmed to have a veggie omelette with cheese inside, Michelle penned: "The little things," alongside a white heart and a stars emoji.

She appeared to be hinting at the message that had also been neatly scrawled on the box which read: "Michelle, Happy Tuesday. You shine a bright as the sun." The cardboard packing had also been decorated with hearts and stars while a separate sticky note read: "Happy Tuesday! Have a great day."

Last month, Michelle had to laugh as she says she was 'humbled' by one of her family members after they sent her a picture of herself looking completely different during her days on Coronation Street. The Stockport-born actress shot to fame after landing a role on the Salford-based soap back in 2008, aged 20, beating hundreds of others to the role.

She to Instagram with a screenshot of a conversation with her brother Andrew. The message, sent at 8am, featured a snap of a younger Michelle from her time on the ITV soap, complete with her iconic hopped earrings. "Morning," her sibling then added. While Michelle's response to her brother wasn't seen, she shared a screenshot to her Instagram Story and typed alongside it: "No one humbles you like your family."
