Michelle Heaton gets into Christmas spirit by transforming home with festive decor

Michelle Heaton has prepared her home for Christmas with festive decor.

The Liberty X singer admitted she leaves "no stone unturned" when it comes to turning her abode into a grotto, revealing that she even brings Christmas to her bedroom.

The 42-year-old - who shares her home with her husband Hugh and their children - has shared a look into her pad on social media and also opened up on her family's traditions with OK! magazine.

Michelle said: "This is our beloved Christmas decorations for the table.

"Every morning on Christmas we have crumpets in the morning for breakfast and then we eat our way through the day."

She also invited the glossy magazine into her home to view how she has done the space up for the holidays.

In footage captured at the lavish home, the main dinner table screams Christmas with an extravagant foliage table runner set in the middle of it.

It is completed with a dinner set, crackers and twinkly lanterns placed along the centre.

The clip showed the singer's kitchen island is covered with an array of sweet treats and nuts ready for guests to snack on during the day as well as a stunning flower arrangement and two gingerbread houses.

She also showcased how her bedroom is kitted out for Christmas too - featuring even more presents on a blue velvet look chair alongside twinkly lights and sparkling flowers.

This Christmas is set to be a special one for Michelle because it'll be one of the first times she isn't taking part in a pantomime so they can celebrate at home rather that in a hotel.

She said: "It’s going to be so special and I get to spend it in our house.

"This is the first year that we’ve all been together without me doing panto and without us celebrating it somewhere else in a hotel."

It is also the first since Michelle fought her alcohol addiction.

She has been open about her struggles since being admitted to the Priory to get help in April of this year.

She's now celebrated seven months sober which has also improved her marriage according to her husband Hugh.

He said: "She got help in April, so the last six months of this year I’ve had my wife back. You could say that, for us, this has been a great year because we’ve had Michelle back after three and a half years of hell."

Michelle is continuing to work on her recovery by being part of the CA (Cocaine Anonymous) fellowship and going to AA meetings, as well as completing the 12-step programme.
