Michael Stewart resists on air Rangers fan troll as he keeps poker face despite goading ‘w*****’ chant

Pundit Michael Stewart managed to shut out Rangers fans at McDiarmid Park as the Viaplay camera picked up clear audio of former midfielder receiving stick.

The visitors were handed a massive advantage before kick-off in Perth as the Rangers support took up three stands for their Scottish Cup showdown with St Johnstone, and despite a battling performance from Callum Davidson's men Michael Beale would continue his unbeaten run as Ibrox boss. The fans were in jubilant mood following the full-time whistler as they looked ahead to the next round, but they didn't appear interested in Stewart's post match debrief.

The former Hibs and Hearts midfielder was breaking down the game with former Rangers striker Ally McCoist and host Emma Dodds when the away section started to throw some insults at the pundit. The TV cameras picked up loud chants of 'Michael Stewart, you're a w*****' on the microphones and failed to cover up the sound during the debrief.

However, Stewart remained undeterred by the onslaught as he rose above the stick from the stands. He gave the fans the rubber ear before passing back to McCoist and refused to acknowledge the fans.
