Michael Stewart has always kept a close eye on former side Hearts .
And the pundit is back on Craig Levein's case over a claim about new signing Loic Damour following their stalemate with Ross County.
The former Jambos midfielder took to Twitter to responds to Levein insisting the Frenchman was on his signing radar before he moved to Cardiff in 2017.
Stewart posted on social media: "6th July 2017 - Loic Damour signs for Cardiff.
"28th of Aug 2017 - Craig Levein becomes Hearts manager.
"10th Aug 2019 - “I’ve liked Damour for a while and actually I tried to sign Loic before but couldn’t compete with Cardiff on the wages."

The Gorgie faithful were quick to pull up Stewart, though, reminding the former Manchester United man that Levein was director of football at the time Damour signed for Cardiff.
That means he could well have been involved in trying to persuade the midfielder to move north to Edinburgh.
@NinthCitizen - "He was director of football though?"
@WonderTwigKid said: "DOF in tries to sign player for team shock!!!! Another MS bread & butter anti Levein comment. What will you do with all your pent up angst when CL does eventually go and someone else takes over?"

@Fraser1874: "It’s almost as though a Director of football is the man specifically employed to oversee the transfer in and out of footballers."
Damour made his debut in maroon on Saturday just a day after signing on at Tynecastle.
He couldn't help his new side to a win against promoted Ross County, who missed a penalty late on.
