Michael Moore unveils trailer for Trump doc 'Fahrenheit 11/9' and it's a doozy

Michael Moore is back with a trailer for "Fahrenheit 11/9," in which the filmmaker presents "the last president of the United States."

It ain't subtle.

The trailer for the film _ which is billed as a comedic documentary _ includes images of a "lie-in" protest, racist symbols on fire in the darkness, random older white men threatening violence, a pile of memorial flowers, a clearly upset female speaker saying absolutely nothing behind a bank of microphones.

And then there's liberal congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York saying: "If nobody's gonna do it, then I've gotta do it."

And, of course, there are images of President Trump.

"People should not come expecting that [Moore] is just going to be shooting Donald Trump in a barrel with jokes. He's taking a much bigger perspective on American politics," Thom Powers, the docs programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival, recently told the Los Angeles Times. (TIFF will host the world premiere of "Fahrenheit 11/9" in early September.)

The new trailer even includes a Michigan-centric trip to Gov. Rick Snyder's home, where Moore pulls out a firehose and sprays "Flint Water" out of a tanker truck and over the fence onto the property.

The timing and purpose of the visit are unclear, though the "Michael Moore in Trumpland" director does holler, "Gov. Snyder, I've got some Flint water for ya," explaining essentially nothing.

(Flint's man-made, lead-poisoned water crisis began in 2014 and resulted in strict regulations being enacted at a state level in 2018, with the water's lead levels finally dropping below federal safety levels in 2017.)

"Fahrenheit 11/9" is due in theaters on Sept. 21. Unless, of course, the world ends before then.
