Michael McIntyre gutted as The Wheel contestant loses £10k after last-minute change

Michael McIntyre was devastated for a contestant who lost £10,000 on The Wheel after making a last-minute change to her answer.

The Wheel sees three contestants join forces with a variety of celebrity "expert" guests in a bid to win life-changing sums of money.

Each episode features three contestants who find themselves on a wheel located directly beneath the main celebrity wheel.

After one person is selected at random, they find themselves elevated to the centre of the celebrity wheel above and remain there until they get a question wrong.

Up first, was Tina from Essex, who selected 'The 80s' as her chosen category.

And it seemed like luck was on her side as she landed on 80s expert Pat Sharp.

If a contestant lands on an expert the question is worth £10,000 - so Tina had a lot to play for.

Michael asked her and Pat: "Which of these weddings took place earliest in the 1980s?"

The options were Prince Charles and Diana Spencer, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne or Scott and Charlene in Neighbours.

Straight away, Tina knew the answer, saying: "Well, Charles and Diana was 81 and Scott and Charlene would have been around 88."

However, Tina started to second guess herself.

She said: "But I don't know about Bruce Willis and Demi Moore or Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne."

Michael asked Tina to lock in an answer and after thinking it through, she opted for Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

The TV comedian revealed that Diana and Prince Charles was the correct answer - meaning Tina lost the £10k.

Michael said: "It's the wrong answer, which means it was the obvious one, Prince Charles and Diana.

"Oh, Tina's off the wheel, oh no, really tough question."
