Michael Dawson provides huge boost for Forest as Tom Lawrence makes bold statement

MAJOR INJURY BOOST

Sabri Lamouchi has revealed positive news on the injury front as he prepares his  Nottingham Forest  side to take on arch-rivals Derby County this weekend.  

The Reds will be boosted by the return of club captain  Michael Dawson , who has been nursing a calf problem since leaving the pitch in the first half at Stoke City in late September.

There’s just one thing on Sabri Lamouchi’s birthday list this weekend, as the  Nottingham Forest  head coach prepares to celebrate his special occasion. 

Lamouchi will be 48 on Saturday and desperately hopes he can celebrate that night with three points over Derby County which would keep his side in the thick of the Championship’s promotion race, ensuring the Brian Clough Trophy remains in the cabinet and Forest's fans head home jubiliant.

DERBY SUFFER BLOW AHEAD OF FOREST TRIP

Derby County boss Phillip Cocu has confirmed Scott Malone will miss Saturday’s crunch clash with  Nottingham Forest.

Forest welcome the Rams to the City Ground in Saturday’s televised East Midlands derby (12.30pm kick off).

But Phillip Cocu will be without left-back Malone, who has started four of the last five games for Derby.

GRABBAN BACKED TO CONTINUE GOAL GLUT

Joe Worrall  has described teammate  Lewis Grabban  as a 'top player' after he opened the scoring against Luton to take his tally to six for the season for  Nottingham Forest

The former England Under-21 international says Grabban's overall contribution can be limited, but he is generally deadly inside the penalty box, as he showed last weekend after he struck following a rare miss in the 12th minute.
