Michael Conlan vows to silence Isaac Dogboe when pair meet on December 5

Michael Conlan says he is looking forward to silencing Isaac Dogboe when the pair meet later this year.

Conlan and Dogboe are being lined up to fight each other in a world title eliminator on Tyson Fury's undercard on December 5.

The unbeaten Belfast boxer will move down to super-bantamweight for the clash which has been set for 122lbs.

Dogboe (21-2) is a former world champion at the weight, having won the WBO strap in 2018 against Jessie Magdaleno.

"I'm really excited for this fight - he's a former world champion and dangerous guy," Conlan told ESPN.

"As soon as it was mentioned, I said, 'Yes get it done.' Isaac likes to talk, and I'm looking forward to shutting him up!"

Former Olympic bronze medallist Conlan (14-0) last fought on August 15 when he stopped Sofiane Takoucht  York Hall.

Dogboe was last out in July when he stopped former Carl Frampton foe Chris Avalos in a featherweight contest.

Conlan will be hoping victory sets up a world title shot on St Patrick's Day, 2021.
