Michael Bublé considering quitting music for full-time fatherhood ahead of Christmas season

Michael Bublé is considering quitting music – opting for full-time fatherhood.

“I’m getting close to thinking maybe I can just go and be a dad,” the father of four tells That Gaby Roslin Podcast.

“I have this picture in my head, of just me in a field with my kids and Ed Sheeran ’s kids and we are just hugging each other and pic- nicking and getting drunk.”

Presumably, just the adults will be doing the latter.

Gemma Collins

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Tayce kicked off their UK-wide tour by performing a lap dance for ex-TOWIE star Gemma Collins.

Gemma – who has been a guest judge on the series –was thrilled, and commended the “world class” routine, at Clapham’s Grand theatre.

Beware guests at Tayce’s next stop in Reading, as the performer warns: “Who will be my next victim?”

Adele

“Trust me to officially have an EGO.”

Adele has three quarters of the famous EGOT in the US, after landing an Emmy for her One Night Only TV show, to add to all her Grammys and an Oscar.

Now she just needs a Tony for a theatre production – so expect to see Adele: the Musical one day on Broadway.

Ultimate Survivor

The £1million prize fund was the big incentive for contestants to maroon themselves on a desert island, forced to provide their own food, water, fire and shelter.

So without a seven-figure sum at stake, will the prospect of Survivor be so appealing?

The BBC is rebooting the format, which originally aired on ITV for two years from 2001 when it offered the huge prize – which in today’s real terms would be £1.84m.

The BBC cash prize has yet to be confirmed but one source said: “It won’t be a million.”

Sixteen hour-long episodes of the “ultimate physical and psychological game show” will air next year with 20 people marooned in an isolated location to compete to be the Ultimate Survivor.

The two previous winners were both police officers – Charlotte Hobrough and Jonny Gibb.

Charts

It’s pop punk vs thrash metal at the top of the album charts this week.

Doncaster rocker Yungblud is currently in poll position, with Megadeth just behind at No.2 – on course to land their first top 10 album in 28 years with The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead.

Last time Yungblud topped the charts, he melted his trophy down to make 150 safety pins. So at least if the metallers don’t win, a metalsmith will be in the money.

BeReal Liz Truss

Social media site BeReal captures the mundanity of everyday life by issuing a randomly timed notification every day, giving users two minutes to capture a photo of themselves and show what they are up to.

But yesterday’s notice didn’t seem quite so randomly generated... with users requested to post photos of themselves just moments after Liz Truss was named leader of the Conservative party.

“My feed is just a whole stream of miserable faces,” several users remarked, while others aired their disappointment that Liz did not interrupt her speech to post her own selfie.

Don’t Worry Darling

A chill filled the air among the cast at the Don’t Worry Darling premiere in Venice.

Florence Pugh brought her granny Pat as her date but missed a press conference, which was even frostier, due to scheduling issues.

Director Olivia Wilde described the actress, dressed in a leggy playsuit yesterday, as a “force” when asked about their reported feud.

And a moderator vetoed any questions about original cast member Shia LaBeouf.

Reports claimed Olivia, who wore a glamorous yellow gown, had fired Shia and she then said he was “combative” on set.

However, he insisted he quit the movie. According to Variety, Shia provided video calls from Olivia hinting that “Miss Flo” needed a “wake-up call”.

Shia was replaced by Harry Styles, decked out in flares yesterday, who then started dating Olivia. Let’s hope the drama on screen is this captivating.

Susie Dent

Yesterday’s Word of the Day from Countdown’s Susie Dent was, yet again, strangely appropriate.

“Zugzwang,” she explained, is “a situation in chess (and life) in which a move must be made, but each possible one will make the situation worse”.

It’s almost like she does it on purpose... (She absolutely does, just to clarify.)
